  7.         This is a SHAREWARE distribution of pEDIT PLUS. Shareware is NOT
  8.         Freeware; if you continue to use pEDIT PLUS after a reasonable
  9.         trial period, you must purchase a software license. Please type or
  10.         print the file REGISTER.DOC for information on how to register.
  11.  
  12.         pEDIT PLUS must be installed on your system to function properly.
  13.         You may want to print the pEDIT documentation before attempting
  14.         the installation. The manual is stored in a compressed format in
  15.         the self-extracting file PEDITDOC.EXE. Type the following commands
  16.         at the DOS prompt to create and print the manual (if you are not
  17.         installing from Drive A, substitute the correct device/directory
  18.         for "A:"):

  20.                 COPY A:PEDITDOC.EXE
  21.                 PEDITDOC
  22.                 COPY PEDIT.DOC PRN
  23.                 DEL PEDIT.DOC
  24.  
  25.         You can delete the file PEDITDOC.EXE *after* the installation has
  26.         been completed.

  28.         The pEDIT PLUS Installation procedure can do a lot for you:
  29.  
  30.               o Install pEDIT PLUS on a floppy/hard drive system
  31.               o Set up a default configuration [Standard (pEDIT's own),
  32.                 WordPerfect, WordStar, Microsoft Quick Editor, Emacs]
  33.               o Modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT file
  34.               o Print the tutorial documentation
  35.               o Start up the pEDIT PLUS tutorial
  36.  
  37.         If you have a floppy-only system, you must first format one or two
  38.         diskettes. Set yourself to the disk/directory where the pEDIT dis-
  39.         tribution files reside and, at the DOS prompt, type:
  40.  
  41.                 INSTALL
  42.  
  43.         You can choose to start the tutorial at the end of the INSTALL
  44.         procedure. If you did not take this option, or you want to restart
  45.         the tutorial, you can do so by typing the following commands at
  46.         the DOS prompt:
